The magic of ivory and dark aqua blue

Hey everyone,

for this lampwork beads I used a really magnificent color combination: ivory and blue dark aqua.

You may ask: "where is the blue?"

This is where the magic happend! Combined with ivory the dark aqua reacts to several kinds of green. AND it's a beautiful green.

I saw this colors in Corina Tettinger's book and I by circumstance I had the colors handy...
sooo I made so many beads I could string them to three necklaces, a bracelet and earrings.

New torch!!! and the result

Hey everyone,

I GOT A NEW TORCH.

so happy with it. It is a bobcat torch.

The torch is hot so I am a lot faster in lampworking.

Also I can regulate the flame so I can melt a lot of glas fast or so tiny I can malt down a single dot.

The most important thing: It is so quiet... I can talk to my family when they are around.

Of course I also had to buy a oxygen concentrator.

I also made a picture of the glas rods I have. It's hard choosing colors from this beauty full sight.

this is the second necklace I made from the beads two posts ago.

As some may know, I am a dot- lover.

So in this necklace there are not only dots on the lampwork beads, but I also used patterns to create a dotty effect when I made the strings of the necklace, the bracelet and earrings out of seed beads.

Red and blue lampwork necklace

this is a long necklace with a lot of small lampwork beads.For comparison: the seed beads between have a diameter of 2 mm.

They are so small, because I made them outside, and the wind disturbed the flame... so it took a lot of time to make even those small beads.

Good thing I had this much time.. I was on vacation in Hungary. =)

Lampwork necklace, triangle pendant

those colorful glas beads are self made lampwork beads. 

The beads are pretty small, but that's why there are so many, which makes the necklace so colorful.

this turquoise necklace is made in peyote stitch (in an angle) so it looks like it is crochet. 

But I don't like crochet beads so used this technique my mother learned in a workshop, so naturally I know it now, too.

This necklace is made with a pendant, which is a gemstone a bought at a fair. I fixed it with a clasp on the necklace, so it can be used on an other necklace also (which I didn't make, jet), so I can have more super fancy necklaces with the gemstone (it sure was expensive enough for that).

Lampwork beads with a two gas torch

Hey everyone,

today I had my first time with a two gas torch (a phoenix).I went to a studio where they have different kinds of torches. 

It was so super exciting, that I was completely exhausted after three hours work and so I went straight for a nap. 

It is a completely different experience at the torch:

- first of all you can hear your own thoughts :O

- glas is melting super fast

- the flame is much more precise 

So here you have the results... They are not the greatest beads I made, but in defense I had to get used to the torch while doing these.

Violett Kumihimo neckace

Hey everyone,

this is a kumihimo necklace I made with different kinds of beads. As you can see you can also use the kumihimo disc with bugle beads. You have to be a little bit more careful but it's possible.

The five rose- violett glas beads are self made lampwork beads.The small ones are white cores and encased with transparent colors. 

The big one in the middle is one of the biggest beads I ever made. Looks a bit like a rosebud.

Blue-red- white necklace

this is a necklace I made fitting to trousers in the same colors. 

The colors are such a perfect match I am not able to wear some other jewelry to it. ;-)
